Bio

1982

Born in Dublin, Ireland
Based in Dundalk, Co. Louth, Ireland.

Omin is an Irish visual artist whose work has evolved from a 27-year foundation in graffiti into a distinctive contemporary practice that bridges street art and fine art. A graduate of the Dublin Institute of Technology with a BA (Hons) in Visual Communications, he now works full-time from his studio in Dundalk, County Louth. His work explores the tension between digital and analog worlds, drawing influence from the fractured aesthetics of everyday digital communication—glitches, distortions, and interruptions. Using techniques ranging from photorealism to graphic abstraction, Omin creates pieces that investigate rhythm, place- ment, and emotional tone across both public and gallery spaces.

Omin has exhibited widely in both solo and group settings and is a member of North Louth Artists, a collective of 14 professional artists who exhibit annually and support one another’s practice.

His work is part of the Municipal Collection, with two pieces acquired under Taiscé Lú (Louth’s Treasure Trove), affirming his contribution to the region’s contemporary visual culture.

From 2019 to 2021, he served as Artistic Director and Curator of the SEEK Contemporary Urban Arts Festival in Dundalk, helping shape the town’s cultural landscape through contemporary muralism and public art.

Whether in a white-cube gallery or on a city wall, Omin approaches each project with a deep sensitivity to form, context, and narrative—transforming spaces through artworks that resonate with pulse and presence.
