Louth Culture Quest

LCQ is a countywide, futuristic, arts and heritage treasure hunt. Where audiences armed with their mobile device, purchase the app, solve the clues, find the artwork and discover what happens to art and heritage in 2050 while exploring the heritage sites of County Louth.

Each piece was painted as a response to its surroundings and areas of historical significance. The work acts like a glitch in the landscape where people can interact and discover artwork either by using the app or stumbling across it.

Produced by An Táin Arts Theatre. Funded by the Arts Council Ireland in partnership with Louth County Council

Text on ‘Congregation’

As the premise of the project was set in a dystopian future 50 years from now. Everyone has had to endure multiple lockdowns and social distancing is commonplace. This site specific installation gives us a reminder of what once was. Located next to St. Peter's church in Drogheda it shows a snapshot in time when church goers could congregate.
